The Congressional Black Associates  is a group of engaged public servants who not only influence Capitol Hill, but  their local community as well. Last year CBA was involved in the following community  service activities: food banks, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, second hand  homes, mentees on the hill, and habitat for humanity. The CBA will expand this  effort in the upcoming year as we stay connected to Washington DC and the Metropolitan  DC area.Community service is a cornerstone of the Congressional Black Associates’ (CBA) mission of empowering staffers. The Congressional Black Associates aims to empower staffers as public servants not just on Capitol Hill, but as members of the greater Washington, D.C metropolitan community.  We engage our members through volunteer activities such as: preparing meals for the less fortunate, reading to eager elementary school children, raising awareness of deadly diseases, and much more.CBA knows that we make ourselves and organization stronger, when we make our friends and neighbors stronger, so please join us in our volunteer efforts to make the greater Washington, D.C. area a better place to live. To be part of CBA’s volunteer efforts, please contact Jermon Williams, CBA’s Community Service Chair at cbacommunityservice@gmail.com.
